Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired the North American distribution rights to the gripping true-crime survival thriller 10 Kilos ahead of the Cannes Marché du Film, with plans for an August theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles, additional cities to be announced, followed by a digital release in September.
Inspired by the bestselling memoir by Sharon Yitzhaki, 10 Kilos tells the harrowing story of a young woman pulled into the brutal world of international drug trafficking and forced to fight for survival deep within the Bolivian underworld.
The film stars Daniella Kertesz (World War Z, Shtisel) in a transformative lead performance and is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Doron Eran (Melting Away, Stay Forte). Combining raw emotional realism with pulse-pounding suspense, the film delivers an intense and deeply human survival story rooted in true events.
10 Kilos is produced by Doron Eran and Danny Moses. Executive producers include Gabrielle Smith Almagor and Tomer Almagor of Urban Tales Productions, alongside Eyal Kanitz, Eitan Kohali, Ron Zuckerman, Wendy Garcia, Yagel Kanitz, Ohad Elkabetz, Amit Amram, Shani Schwariz, Eran & Sheffy Basan, and Juan Friedman.
The film is produced by Cinemajet, the international production company founded by Doron Eran, in association with Urban Tales Productions and Penny Lane Productions. Cinemajet continues to expand its global footprint through commercially driven, internationally focused independent cinema.
